Peripheral Vision is an independent press dedicated to expanding critical dialogues about American art through visionary publication and curatorial initiatives. Our journal, Peripheral Vision, pairs artists with critics for the production of original texts through our prestigious Publication Fellowship program. Beginning in December 2017 Peripheral Vision will be available for purchase in a collectible print format with free related digital content published on the website. Sign up for our free email newsletter to receive article links, announcements, + calls for entry.
Launched in 2016, and edited by Texas artist and art historian Scott Gleeson, Peripheral Vision was created to respond to professional artists' need for substantive critical recognition. Since issuing the first call, Peripheral Vision has awarded 124 Publication Fellowships and has commissioned over 156,500 words of content. As we grow we will create new publication and curatorial initiatives.
